Every day traditional technology is being eclipsed by advanced, smart technology to make us more efficient and connected. When it comes to off-grid street lights, Energy-as-a-Service or EaaS is instrumental in this smart evolution. EaaS helps upgrade off-grid systems into Smart Off-Grid solutions. An off-grid system with EaaS provides an intelligent, efficient and reliable system with no operating costs. That means maximum uptime, longest life and easiest to install and maintain.

Our cities are undergoing a revolution and becoming ‘Smart’. The Smart City revolution is transforming how cities operate, most importantly by making them more efficient. Smart solar street lights are at the center of this, but how do they work and how can they help? The blog takes a look at what SMART solar street lights are and where they are going.

Advanced energy storage technologies are essential building blocks for a renewable energy future. Battery management is crucial to the delivery of reliable, cost-effective off-grid power, as batteries can be very easily damaged even during normal operation, thereby reducing their lifespan and the effectiveness of the power system. That is why knowing a battery’s capacity and its precise state of charge are crucial features in protecting the health of a battery and extending the life of a mission-critical off-grid power system. However, when it comes to batteries designed to support heavy loads such as telecommunications applications, calculating the state of charge is complicated by many practical and theoretical obstacles. Still, it can have major benefits for the overall power system’s cost, longevity and reliability. So why is it essential for off-grid power? Let’s find out.

Through remote management and control provided by Smart Off-Grid systems, renewable energy sources can be made both extremely reliable and cost-effective. Let’s examine the difference between monitoring and control and see how expert management and control can help make clean energy scalable.

Off-grid power can provide valuable benefits both from a cost perspective and a reliability standpoint. In telecom, IoT, or other areas, many will have either experienced or heard stories of systems that failed to deliver. The application of Smart Off-Grid solves the challenges that have driven poor performance and makes off-grid power more reliable, longer lasting and easier to use. It also lowers costs by using complex predictive analytics, cloud, and next-generation power technology to simplify the systems for customers. It’s easy from installation to troubleshooting, to ongoing energy and power management with uptime consistency.   Let’s see how Smart Off-Grid Power can make a difference.

Investors are piling into clean tech with an upswing in investing that considers environmental, social, and governance, or ESG investing, as I recently discussed in my Forbes blog. But when it comes down to the implementation of clean tech in the power sector, we are still overcoming the misperception that cost and reliability is worse than on-grid power solutions. The truth is that power reliability and cost is equitable if not better with renewable off-grid solutions, which can have a positive impact on the bottom line now and in the future. Here are 5 ways that smart off-grid power can positively impact power needs and the bottom line.
